Understanding Ayven
Ayven is an AI agent that joins your team as a virtual team member. Unlike chatbots that wait for you to ask questions, Ayven proactively monitors your team's work—Slack conversations, project boards, documents—and takes action when needed. It researches topics, creates documents, files issues, and delivers project updates without requiring constant prompting.
ChatGPT and similar tools are conversational assistants—you ask, they answer. Ayven is an autonomous agent that integrates with your existing tools and workflows. It doesn't just respond to prompts; it monitors your team's activity, identifies when work needs to be done, and executes tasks end-to-end. Think of ChatGPT as a smart search engine, and Ayven as a team member who gets things done.
Ayven handles a range of knowledge work tasks:
- Research: Deep web research with source verification and citation
- Documents: Creates, updates, and organizes documents in Google Drive and Notion
- Issue Tracking: Files tickets, updates statuses, and manages backlogs in Jira, Linear, YouTrack, and GitHub
- Project Delivery: Monitors project progress and surfaces blockers
- Team Intelligence: Captures decisions and context from conversations
Both. You control the level of autonomy. For routine tasks, Ayven can execute automatically. For important decisions—like creating external-facing documents or filing high-priority issues—Ayven requests approval via Slack before proceeding. You set the guardrails that match your team's comfort level.
How It Works
Ayven connects through official APIs and OAuth. You authorize access to each tool (Slack, Google Drive, Notion, etc.), and Ayven uses those permissions to read context and take actions. Setup typically takes 10-15 minutes—just connect your tools and Ayven starts learning your team's workflow.
Every time Ayven completes an action—research, creating a document, filing a ticket—it uses exactly 1 credit. Simple and predictable. The Free plan includes 500 credits per month. If you need more, you can purchase credit packs or upgrade to the Standard plan for unlimited executions.
The Standard plan gives you 1 concurrent execution slot—meaning Ayven runs tasks back-to-back without credit limits. Instead of counting individual executions, you get a dedicated "lane" where Ayven continuously processes work. Depending on task complexity, expect 6,000–12,000 executions per month from a single slot.
Ayven monitors your connected channels and tools for signals that work needs to be done. When someone mentions needing research, asks a question, or creates a task, Ayven picks it up. You can also @mention Ayven directly in Slack for specific requests. Over time, Ayven learns your team's patterns and priorities.
Yes. You choose which Slack channels Ayven monitors, which folders in Google Drive it can access, and which projects in your issue tracker it manages. Permissions are granular—you're always in control of Ayven's scope.
Most teams are up and running in 10-15 minutes. Connect your Slack workspace, authorize your tools, and invite Ayven to the channels you want it to monitor. No complex configuration or training required—Ayven starts learning your team's context immediately.
Capabilities & Quality
Ayven uses multiple research modes (quick, standard, deep) and always provides sources for verification. It cross-references information, checks publication dates, and flags when sources conflict. That said, we recommend reviewing Ayven's research for high-stakes decisions—just like you would with any team member's work.
Ayven creates drafts and asks for approval on important actions, so mistakes are caught before they matter. If something does slip through, all of Ayven's actions are logged—you can see exactly what it did and roll back changes. For critical workflows, you can require approval for every action.
Ayven works best in English but can understand and generate content in most major languages. Research capabilities are strongest for English-language sources, but Ayven can work with multilingual teams and translate between languages as needed.
Yes. Ayven breaks down complex requests into steps, executes them in sequence, and keeps you updated on progress. For example, if you ask Ayven to "research competitors and create a comparison doc," it will research each competitor, synthesize findings, create the document, and share it—all as one flow.
Team & Collaboration
Yes. Ayven is designed for teams. Anyone in your connected Slack channels can interact with Ayven, request tasks, and receive updates. There are no per-seat charges—pricing is based on execution capacity, not headcount.
Ayven respects the permissions of your connected tools. If a Google Drive folder is restricted, Ayven can only access it if authorized. Admins can configure which team members can change Ayven's settings and integrations.
Contact us for enterprise plans with multiple concurrent execution slots. This is ideal for larger teams or organizations that need Ayven processing more tasks in parallel.
